Bio
Short Bio
KZZZM (pronounced "Chasm") is a Montreal-based multi-songwriter group where New Wave, indie rock, science fiction, hip-hop, electronica, and baroque pop collide. The project channels analog grit and futuristic tension into songs about connection, identity, and what remains human in a machine-driven era.
Long Bio
At the core of KZZZM are Anthony Kameka (LZK), Matthew Spreen, William Wattley (BLK MTR), and Edward Scrimger (DAHL). Longtime collaborators and performers, they built KZZZM as a concept-driven art-rock outlet with equal focus on songwriting, atmosphere, and groove.
Their music moves between synthetic pulse and emotional urgency. KZZZM songs explore pride, ego, love, time, and technological dislocation while keeping a live-band backbone under electronic production.
On stage, KZZZM operates as a full four-piece, translating layered studio textures into high-energy performance. The result is surreal, retro-futurist, and direct: a project designed to sound modern while asking timeless questions.

One Sheet
KZZZM, pronounced "Chasm," is a Montreal-based multi-songwriter group whose Venn diagram overlaps New Wave, indie rock, science fiction, hip-hop, electronica, and baroque pop.
Anthony Kameka (LZK), Matthew Spreen, William Wattley (BLK MTR), and Edward Scrimger (DAHL) are the core members behind this conceptually focused groove machine.
Ultimately, KZZZM is an art-rock project aimed at expressing the human condition as it collides with accelerating technology, cultural drift, and emotional overload.
Singles
"On and On" is a rapidly paced electronic refrain alluding to the continual disintegration of time, with verses rooted in unconditional love.
"Unknown Caller" is an indie-disco track about mystery spam calls, set to the dial-tone mood of an 80s Halloween movement.
"Mental Health" cuts deeper with a vulnerable, explosive sentiment: impassioned vocals against Auto-Tune texture, a calm-before-the-storm structure, and themes of ego, pride, loss, and human worth.
Project Thesis
At the core of KZZZM is an agreement on partial human obsolescence: a generation living on the cusp of technological replacement while still searching for something real.
The songs pivot between comprehension and surrender, clarity and perplexity. The constant is the drive toward human connection.
Live Identity
Longtime performers, friends, and collaborators across multiple projects, Kameka, Spreen, Wattley, and Scrimger translate synthetic studio worlds into a fully functioning four-piece live band.
KZZZM is surreal, conceptual retro-futurism at full voltage.
